Frequently Asked Questions

1.  My phone fails to collect my item using the bookmark/SMS you sent me. What's going wrong?

You need to make sure your phone supports WAP (Internet access). Most modern phones provide this functionality. Talk to your service provider to make sure WAP is activated on your phone. Some service providers such as Optus provide mobile phones with WAP deactivated by default. They can generally activate this for you with a phone call to their general inquiries number.

Also make sure your phone has reasonable signal reception. WAP/GPRS do not work very well in poor signal conditions.

2.  When I try to collect my item, I get a message that my order has already been processed.

This happens when you try to collect an item more than once. When you purchase an item, you are only permitted to collect it once, so you need to make sure you save it to your phone immediately after collecting it.

If you need to collect the item again for any reason, please contact our support team at  and we'll re-enable it for you.

3. I purchased a polyphonic ringtone, but it doesn't sound anything like it does on your website. What's the deal?

Some phones, especially some of the more inexpensive Nokia phones such as the 6610, have very poor support for polyphonic ringtones. This is because they are only capable of playing a small number of instruments simultaneously.

If you really like your polyphonic ringtones, we recommend you purchase a more capable phone such as the Sony Ericsson T6xx series or newer Nokias. Make sure you check that it can play at least 16 simultaneous instruments.

4. The polyphonic ringtone I purchased is too quiet on my phone. What can I do about this?

If you experience this problem, please make sure you set ringtone volume to maximum and do not have ringtones set to 'Ascending' (starting quiet and getting louder).

If you think the problem is with the ringtone, rather than the phone, please contact us as we may be able to assist.

5. I got an SMS with an Internet address in it. What do I need to do with this?

Using your phone, you need to connect to the address shown. Do not try to connect to this address with your computer's browser or you may prevent your phone from being able to access it.

Please contact us at  if you have any trouble getting your item.

6. I didn't receive a bookmark/SMS allowing me to collect my item. What do I do?

You need to contact us if you haven't received any bookmark (service message) or SMS from us. Generally you should receive your bookmark or SMS within a few minutes, but some delays (certainly not longer than 24 hours) can occur.

7. I collected my item but can't find it anywhere on my phone now. Where is it?

You probably collected the item but did not choose to save it to your phone. You can contact us and we will enable you to collect the item again.

8. When I collect a polyphonic ringtone on my Nokia phone, it says "Ringing tone received" but when
I try to play it, it says "Can't open file". What is happening?

Some of the previous generation Nokia phone models that support polyphonic ringtones, support them very poorly. These ringtones usually play fine on all other phones that support polyphonics.

If you experience this, please contact us. We have endeavoured to create alternate versions of our entire collection of polyphonic ringtones, so that they also work on older Nokia models. However, we may have a few remaining for which we have not created alternate versions as yet. We will be able to assist you with this when you get in touch with us.

9. When I try to collect an item I get a "406 Not Acceptable" error or "Unknown file type" or "Content not supported". This sounds bad. What do I do?

Firstly, before you order, you should always make sure your phone is on our compatibility list. We may not be able help you if you are using a phone that we do not explicitly support.

If the problem persists, please contact us as soon as possible and we will assist you in getting your item working.

General questions

10. When I call your service, how long will it take for me to successfully order an item?

It will generally take you about 2 minutes to successfully order an item. You are not charged for the first 24 seconds of the call (while you are advised of call costs and are given the option to proceed).

Naturally, it will take longer to order more than one item. A rule of thumb is to add approximately one minute to the call length for each additional item you want to purchase. We ask you for your details again when you place multiple orders, in case you are ordering additional items for a different handset or a phone on a different network.

11. Do you provide refunds?

Before you make a purchase, be sure to check that you are happy with the way it sounds by listening to the preview. We can only provide refunds in exceptional circumstances.

Always make sure your phone is on our compatibility list before ordering. It is possible that we do not list newer phones that do indeed work with our service. If you think this is the case, please contact us and we will investigate this for you.
