Video Clip Shoot

As we rolled up the security was fierce and entry was limited to the first set at the Australian Diamond Company showrooms for the MCB video clip for killing me softly. Fun and games where on the agenda as the buzz was ever increasing. The scene was set and the players looked sophisticated in their evening wear and what a contradiction this was to their laid back actions within the clip. Jasmine looked stunning and ready for action. The film crew knew their stuff and after only 3 or 4 takes in both fast and normal speed we could move onto the next scene. The idea of recording in double speed and then slowing it down was foreign to most but an excitement to see what the finished product would be like. The bright lights and shiny jewels were enough to entrance us all. The pack up was smooth and dinner was needed so the move to Curly Joe’s for more shooting and the all important pizza was much appreciated before the long night for some was to begin.

The staff at Curly Joe’s were very helpful and after a quick bite the smaller scenes began both inside and outside Curly Joe’s. The aroma sent some home to bed whilst others used it (as (the opposite of tranquliser)) to keep them going into the wee hours of the night. The band got to experience a new thing that introduced us into a small part of the video clip world and the work that goes into it. We are looking forward to seeing the finished product not just within the band but hopefully on TV. So look out for MCB!!!

We would also like to thank all the staff at the Australian Diamond Company and Curly Joe’s, the film crew, Jasmine, Patrick and all the band members that helped us have this wonderful experience and try this new thing in the brass band world.

Take a look at the clip in the Jukebox page.
